A UNIVERSITY WITH A VISION TO INDUSTRIALIZE AFRICA

SPEAKING OF INDUSTRIALIZATION

This is the system by which raw materials are processed into finished products for the benefit of mankind. So that makes an industry a place where economic activity concerned with the processing of raw materials and manufacture of goods in factories take place.

LEADPRENEUR ACADEMY, (Leadership Entrepreneurship Academy) has proven to be an Academia for the industrialisation of Africa. In the university, students are guided by protocols and are taught all kinds of courses to become who they are not but here at Leadpreneur Academy, the courses we offer has been designed to enlighten students and will help them in their area of discipline.

WHAT MAKES UP AN INDUSTRY?

Even if you intend to stay with the same company or industry for a long time, having flexible or transferable job skills can help you advance in your career. Because some companies may place a higher value on certain skills than others, research potential employers to learn which skills you should work on developing. Here are some of the most important skills for success in any industry:

  • Decision-making
  • Multitasking
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Professionalism
  • Integrity
  • Management
  • Initiative
  • Empathy
  • Leadership
  • Teamwork spirit
  • Be innovative

It is widely accepted that most of Africa’s education and training programs suffer from low-quality teaching and learning, as well as inequalities and exclusion at all levels. Even with a substantial increase in the number of children with access to basic education, a large number still remain out of school. But the time has come for Africa to create a system that works. Some of the challenges faced by Africa which virtually stagnate industrialization in Africa

  • Underdevelopment of the middle class
  • low savings
  • high rate of criminality
  • corruption
  • high levels of debt,
  • lack of capital and skills
  • weak infrastructure—
  • lack of electricity,
  • poor roads and congested ports—are some of the problems that hinder the process of industrialization in Africa.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE DONE?

For good reason, Africa has a strong desire to industrialize. Manufacturing is likely the only proven development model that has helped bring jobs, export revenues, and rapid and sustained prosperity to a variety of (primarily Asian) poorer countries.

However, significant industrial capacity in Africa may never be realized unless African countries engage in the messy and laborious task of actively promoting manufacturing through targeted infrastructure, skills development, financial policy, making quality connections with agriculture and services in partnership with the private sector, and preparing for a more digital future. The window of opportunity is getting smaller.

If;

  • natural resources,
  • capital,
  • workers
  • technology
  • consumers, transportation systems
  • and a cooperative government can be provided and improved as well, then Africa will successfully be industrialized.
