If you’ve found a study program in Turkey that interests you, the next step is to look into the prerequisites for applying for that degree. While you should always check the exact criteria on the program website to see if you meet them, there are some general requirements you must meet as well.

ACCOMMODATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO WANT TO STUDY IN TURKEY
The cost of living for a student in Turkey. As an international student, you can live in Turkey on a monthly budget of 400–650 EUR. When compared to other study destinations around the world, this is significantly less expensive.

Monthly fees for KYK-operated dormitories range from 215 TL to 340 TL. The fees for university dorms vary depending on the university and the physical characteristics of the room being accommodated.
Private dormitories can be found near most university campuses. The facilities provided by private dormitories are generally superior to those provided by state dormitories (for example, newer and more diverse furniture), but their fees are higher
Renting a house is another option for international students. Many students, particularly in neighbourhoods near universities, rent a house with a few friends. In Turkey, which is rapidly developing in terms of housing quality and quantity, you will have many rental home options. Of course, prices differ from city to city and depending on the location and features of the home. Regardless of your budget, you can be confident that you will find a suitable home in the city you live in.
In Turkey, houses are typically in the form of apartments. These apartments have a spacious living room as well as two to four additional bedrooms. The majority of the houses have a balcony. The kitchen is located in a separate section of the house. The houses are heated by a central system or a combi boiler. According to the average rental rates per square meter in some provinces in 2020, a 90 square meter house can cost between 600 TL and 2.500 TL.

ACADEMIC SESSION OF UNIVERSITIES IN TURKEY
The school calendar is set by the Ministry of National Education (Milli Eitim Bakanl- MEB), and the dates of school terms are the same throughout the country, though school dates can change at any time.
On public holidays, all schools are closed.
Private schools may have slightly different vacation dates; check with the relevant school.
Local holidays may cause schools to close; however, these closures are usually only for one day.
The Academic Year
The school year in both primary and secondary education must be at least 180 days long.
The Academic year last from September to June, with a three-month summer break in between. The school year is divided into two semesters, each with a two-week break in February.
The first semester runs from September to January. The second semester begins in February and runs through June. This format is used across the country.

If you intend to do a Bachelor’s degree in Turkey, you will need to have graduated from high school or be about to graduate. The next documents should be on your list:

It's the initial official record of your interest in applying to the institution.
High school diploma (or a paper certifying you will graduate): This is the official certificate or document awarded upon successful completion of your secondary education. Proof of Application Fee Payment: Many universities require a non-refundable fee to process your application. Your application will typically not be reviewed until this payment is confirmed.
A certificate attesting you had a secondary school exit exam: This document confirms that you have successfully passed a standardized examination taken at the end of your secondary education, which is often a requirement for university admission in many countries. Examples include the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in West Africa, the Baccalaureate in France, or A-Levels in the UK. Applying for the Turkish student visa
If you plan to attend a university in Turkey, most international students will need to apply for a student visa. Obtaining a visa is a fairly simple and straight forward process.
